How can I clean my child's soft plush toys?

I have a little girl of 2 years and a baby on the road. I want to wash my daughter's stuffed animals get them clean for the baby. Most of them say on the label "surface washable" only. Do you think I could still put them in the washing machine on gentle cycle? A friend thinks it will be OK if I put them in pillow cases first. Has anyone done this? I try to stay away from soft toys because they are so difficult to clean - and think about where they go between washings!

The stuffed animals that my children have been particularly attached to I washed quite regularly - use a gentle cycle, but the hot water. It probably would not hurt to put them into pillowcases first, but I do not think it will make a big difference.

Also, be aware that some parts of the toy does not do as well - my son had a stuffed lion whose mane started right, but left the washing machine like his mane was very tight curls permed small! At least it was clean, though.

One last thing - you should probably dry the toys in the dryer, or they take forever to dry, and perhaps begin to mold. Just do not use a hot setting, because some parts of them can soften or melt.

I use to work in a nursery and has been an adult for 5 children! I am very shocked by the teacher who looks after 30! As with all accidents must be written in a book by accident, no matter how minor they are! I would ask to speak to the manager of the nursery is not acceptable! All children should receive 100% of care in a nursery and I find it hard to believe that an adult can do it for 30 children.

We went to consulting and now?!?

This is a continuation of my questions night.it of another long but please read all it's important that I do not understand at all the guys.

my bf (4 years) and I got into a heated argument on Sunday and we almost broke. we had a rough few months b / c I'm having issues w / too stressed, tense, and cry too. I am in the board to help change this b / c I want to be a better person (and better person to my BF and my 3 little girls).

we had a counseling session scheduled for yesterday that I was afraid that the bond but did not. we had a good conversation. the therapist suggested we take a break from three weeks to see each other and only asking once a week. This is super hard for me b / c my bf and I were spending virtually all of our time (outside work and commissions that we've made some one) together. I agreed. my bf has been asked by the therapist in advance if he wanted to break or make the space and my bf said taking up space. we agreed that we do not want to date anyone else but my bf said he had obtained the number one girl (an older lady who is Japanese and does not speak much English) at work b / c she was fired and asked him to teach him to fly RC airplanes, he had built. He asked if everything was okay for this girl to come to his house so he can teach him, I said no and he understood (he said he did not want to be myself around other guys either). He asked me to pick up my cat after the session b / c she peed on the couch twice.

I came to get her and we ended up spending four hours talking. He said he loved me and wanted to get children and happily still with us, but we had to be happy. we could not fight more (outside normal couple fights) and I agreed. I promised to change and improve things. It initally wanted me to stay the night, but I said no b / c the therapist told us to space. he wanted to sleep with me but I said it would just make me more confused and had to be 100% sure he wanted to be with me and he told me he was it just scared that we will fight again. We both decided that I was coming home the best. as I was leaving, he held me tight and then dig my face and said "I love you with all my heart." and I'm gone.

but I'm weak and I'm back. We talked for two hours or more (operating and kissing) and he told me that I really should just go home bc / now his head is blurred and he needs time and space to bounce back . he says I need space for my own pleasure and health so that we may be allowed as a couple. He said he will miss me like crazy and the house feels empty w / out children and myself there.

When I arrived during the first time I brought our pictures in the house (he was in the garage with some of my other stuff). I hung one on the fridge and put two more in his room (on the dresser and bedside table). I left the other on the counter in the kitchen. when I came back the second time, he had returned to the Garge it scared me and upset. He says he does b / c, it didn't have the energy to hang them all back up and did not want to be scratched or damaged.

I came back today to have look at my car (it had problems). He took the tray of my daughter with her clothes and he moved the show to make its feeder mouse and a candle I gave him on it (they were on the floor before) and also I hung the paintings moved from the chamber of my other daughter on the walls, he said he did not like them in the living room and was being cleaned. the photos I had put in place were still there though.

I started crying and told him that I was mortally afraid that I'll slowly lose-that no matter how I tried to change, it would not be enough b / c I Hur .

You have this book as a shower gift and during the end of my pregnancy, I read (cover to cover ') twice it "sounds" great.
I followed instructions and got my baby on a feeding schedule "from the moment he was born-all 1 1 / 2 to 3 hours, my baby has finished dictating, (regardless of the recommendations of Ezzo).
With hindsight being 20/20, this book is basically JUNK. Your baby needs to express themselves and that includes in particular hunger. Planning and a newborn does not go hand in hand and in my opinion, you feel frustrated to be "flexible" as he calls it.
My baby is big now 8 1 / 2 months and still nursing every 2-3 hours and did not sleep at night, half the time. However, I do not regret it from the Babywise system just because I let my "maternal intuition" on the needs of my baby to replace the many ridiculous tactics promoted by Ezzo. No damage done, not everything worked for us ... I think it is not realistic.

The pro is that I did not spend a dime on the book.

The con is that I wasted time reading it and getting excited that he can play.

Part of the position of the AAP: A book, The Becoming Babywise, has raised concern among pediatricians because it outlines an infant feeding program has been associated with growth retardation (TTF), failure of the poor supply milk and involuntary early weaning. A Forsyth Medical Hospital Review Committee, in Winston-Salem, NC, has 11 sites where the program is inadequately supported by conventional medical practice. The Child Abuse Prevention Council of Orange County, Calif., said its concern after physicians called them the reports of dehydration, slow growth and development, and FTT associated with the program. And on Feb. 8, AAP District IV passed a resolution asking the Academy to investigate "Babywise," determine the extent of its effects on infant health and alert its members, other organizations and parents its findings.

Personally, I am totally shocked that this man uses religion to sell his book. Its subtitle is something like: raising children God's way, but that makes no sense. Breasts work on supply and demand, but by undermining the demand part of the equation, it affects the supply as well. God gave women's breasts to feed babies, so Ezzo is full. Listen to the other posters and do not follow the advice of "Babywise." Babies need to be fed on the selection (whenever they seem hungry) and should be comforted when they cry. Crying is irritating to adults for good reason: it is the primary means of communication between your baby with you. Definitely read "The Baby Book" by Sears, another excellent book on the newborn is "our babies, ourselves" by Meredith Small.

From what I read it sounds very very harmful for your child.
Never go against your instincts, it is not in the nature of nature, to provide agencies with biological tendencies, except that they have survival value.

Please do not try this with your child.
