Antique trucks have long been interested American inhabitants. It became their favorite pastime. Collecting these trucks is not just a hobby, but it is a passion for some. Special groups, clubs and museums have been created to showcase cars collected.

Older trucks were used largely in agriculture. They belonged to the 20th century. The oldest and most original truck was the Mack truck, which was owned by John Mack. They were introduced in the 1800s and since then have seen their expansion to buses, dump trucks, semi-finished and other vehicles of 18 wheels.

The popular brands include Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford and from which the Dodge truck is a favorite. The value and cost of the truck depends on its rarity and its present state. The price varies from a few hundred dollars just to several thousand dollars. Many museums and magazines have been designed to house these antique Dodge trucks.

The older model is the Dodge Truck 30 Dodge, which was built in the year 1914 by the Dodge brothers company. It was a 4 cylinder truck with a body entirely of steel. The characteristics of this old truck were 12 volt electrical system and sliding gear transmission. The other Dodge model T which had an ancient global basis, but it was quickly withdrawn from the market by the year 1927. During the years of the introduction of the single undertaking of light trucks were produced, but later in the 1930s and 1940s, the medium and heavy trucks were also introduced.

During late 1930, the Dodge Company introduced the 14 cylinder trucks which proved to be major breakthrough for the company. The company has also introduced newer and more improved versions of trucks during the year 1939. But because of the Second World War, the company has been closed. Later in the years 1945-1949 a number of cylinders 6 trucks came into being which were named "Power Wagon.

Antique Dodge Trucks can be purchased at auction, trade fairs, trade magazines, and even auction web site. A heavyweight Historical Society was created specifically dealing with the purchase and sale of older trucks. They even have memberships and newsletters to keep interested people updated on the old Dodge trucks. A museum of old trucks can be found in almost all states of the United States.

There are a number of old Dodge trucks to choose from. They include Dodge Model 30, Dodge Model T, Series 116 and many others. Even today, some of these trucks are on display and even for sale. Those interested can participate in auctions and tenders to own one of the antique Dodge trucks. These trucks are extremely popular and are a symbol of prestige. Therefore, people have increasingly opted for buying these antique Dodge trucks. Although the Dodge trucks gained more popularity after the Second World War, even today, there are many people who want to add these classic cars to their collection.
