Bolo Toss

Bolo TossAnyone for a game of Ladder Golf

Ladder Golf is a game new lawn that sweeps the country. Sometimes known as bolo throw, golf ladder is an easy game that consists of only a few items - a ladder with three rungs and Bolos. A western is a 13-inch long piece of nylon string that has a colored golf ball at each end. Bolos in sets of three colors for different teams or individuals to each other.

Teams or individuals take turns to throw the bolos at the ladder about 15 feet away. The goal is to wrap around the western one of the ladder. Each level is associated with a number of points. For example, the first step, normally counts for three points, the numbers of medium for 2 points, and the lower step counts for one point. Sure, the other team or individual can knock your bolo off a notch, meaning that you do not get points for that throw.

At the end of each round (each person undertaking three bolos), the scores are counted. The goal is for the team or individual to obtain a score of exactly 21. If you are close, but go over 21, your points for that round are deducted and you must try again in the next round.

You can purchase ladder golf sets online for between $ 40 and $ 70 dollars. But if you have time, you can build your own for about $ 20 in parts and materials.

To build your own golf game ladder, you'll need 40 feet of PVC pipe. You'll also need a dozen PVC t-connectors and a dozen PVC elbow connectors. To make the bolos, you will need 12 golf balls (different colors in sets of three) and nylon rope. Additional tools you will need to include a saw, a drill, and scissors. Cut the tube into 12 pieces a foot long and six pieces of 2 feet long. Turn a T-connector at the end of each piece of pipe 2 feet, then add the pieces of a foot-long pipe into the T-connector, making sure they point in the same direction. Repeat these instructions to create twice as many rungs of the ladder.

Using a T-connector, connect two of two pieces of pipe on foot, with the T-connector in the center of the pipe and the open end up. Repeat these instructions once more. Use connectors to add an elbow foot sections at each end to form the base. Press the form of the ladder in the t-connectors on the base. Repeat these steps to create two more ladders.

To make the bolos, use your drill to put a hole in the center of all 12 golf balls. Cut the nylon rope into 14 inch sections, giving you a half inch at each end to make a knot. Put your nylon rope through the hole and tie a knot at one end to prevent it from escaping. In other golf balls across the open end of the nylon cord and to this end with a knot.

Ladder Golf is a fun game that is easy to carry around with you and people of all ages love to play.
