Due to the fact that Adolph Gund should have the best of everything in life, he made sure his teddy bear too. His door had to be made with high quality materials, which explains why they were made with fur mohair. Adolph Gund right before his death, he sold his business to Jacob Swedlin but a restriction, the company has always had to be called, "Gund. Jacob is also the man who introduced everyone to the licensing of cartoon characters like Mickey Mouse or Snoopy. Jacob transfer the business to his daughter Rita and her husband Herbert Raiffe, they both knew would never change the company name.

The company will continue to prosper under Herbert and Rita, but it would be their son. In 1977, Bruce Raiffe would join the company. The company continues to grow today, always making sure to keep his name when it passes from one person to another. Although the company develops with its latest teddy bear, they have never forgotten the man who has started and have always continued to use security with good quality toys and make all their articles, like him .
