Hanukkah Toys

Hanukkah ToysWhat do I get my boyfriend for Hanukkah?

We have been together for nine months and I want to get him something special. He knows I do not have much money so he did not expect much, but he deserves something good. He loves animals, books, movies, cute boxers, french bulldogs, sports, sexy girls, kinky sex, turtles, frogs, toys, stickers, music, and he's a vegetarian . Ideas?

I completely disagree with the response of the other person. It is rarely necessary "for anybody. So what? People celebrate holidays in different ways. Most people I know celebrate Christmas simply because it's fun! Who cares if Hannukah mimics the tradition of Christmas gifts. People do it because they love it. Most Jewish Hannukah take about as seriously as Christians take Christmas. It's a chance to spend time with your family and friends and have fun. Many people give and receive Christmas gifts which do not take it "seriously". So why should it be different on Chanukah? I will not be insulted if you give me a gift for Hanukkah. Thank you for giving and receiving gifts.

It really is not necessary to do anything. There is no religious or even give cultural association between Hanukah and gifts, other than the coincidence that this happens to occur around Christmas. Therefore, there is no appropriate gift to give. At one time people give young children a few small coins, but the adults never had a tradition of giving gifts at this time.

The best thing to give him a kiss. Everything else is an imitation of pagan and Christian practices and will be insulting to him if he is serious about Hanukah. ... and if not, why would you give a gift to remember this moment anyway?
