Swimming lessons for children Most children start taking swimming lessons for about 3 years. Here are some tips to make the whole process of learning to swim as pleasant as possible:
Choosing the right Swim School: Do your research and choose the right school. You need a school that is supported, more user-friendly uses the right techniques to teach swimming. Tell your friends and get their recommendation as well. Do not choose a school based solely on proximity to where you live. In addition, different schools use different teaching methods. Some swim schools to focus heavily on obtaining the right stroke - the first class. Others focus on the time correction at a much later stage.
Preparation of the swimming class: This is probably a good idea to buy a bag of swimming in water proof. - Good investment. Before leaving for class, make sure you have a towel, swimsuit, swim cap, goggles and a change of clothes to change into.
If you have trouble getting the shower cap on your child's head, put some talcum powder into the CAP and rub it spreads evenly on the inside of swim cap. Make sure the swimming googles are not too tight. If your child shivers a lot when in water, then what will make your child feel uncomfortable. Rub Vaseline on your child's leg and other body parts exposed. This will reduce the chill. While it is still a major problem, then buy a bathing suit specially designed - a combination designed to make you feel warmer.
Your child should have no food for at least 1-2 hours before his / her swimming lesson.
Float: different parents have different opinions on floats ... Some schools do not mind if your child uses floats but others strictly frown upon them. They believe that floats give your child a false sense of security and comfort. They believe that when a child is out floater, he or she will struggle to learn and adapt - they may be too accustomed to them.
During swimming lessons: Do not put too much pressure on your child. Each child learns swimming in their own time. If you are so unhappy with the teacher, the teacher or the supervisor know. It is probably good for the teacher to receive feedback as well. Be patient and encouraging. Do not push and have enormous expectations. Most schools have levels - children are different at different levels. And as they get better, they advance through the levels. Do not put pressure on the teacher to pass the child prior to a different level. Confidence in their judgments, making it easier for everyone.
After The Swim Lesson: Give your child a shower after each lesson (though the pool is clean). Children can be very hungry after a swimming lesson. I normally take a snack with me so I can give them, after cleaning.
Holiday Activities Bathing: If you think your child needs extra tuition, and vacation can be a good time to book the child for additional courses. Holidays are completely relaxed and your child can improve their swimming at a faster pace - with no added pressure of homework, etc.
