Kids Outdoor Play

Kids Outdoor PlayHow can I keep cats away from my kids outdoor play area?

We have new equipment playground that includes an area full of sand that can not be covered. I need a long-term child, safe that will keep the cats doing what cats do in the sand. Ideas?

Oh la la! A recipe for conflict. The only thing I can suggest is a device that is very low and is triggered by movement. It then sends an alarm acute that readers nutty cats - (and maybe you too) and makes them flee. It is like a scarecrow electronic alarm / motion! Sorry - I do not know the name.

If it does not rain too much where you are, you can also make white pepper around the perimeter sand box - say a month - to help them stay out too!.
But it will be difficult! Good luck :-)

Gee. It's tough. How would you keep them inside where they should be? "

Dogs and cats do not like the smell of citrus peel. You can spray the sand with oil of citronella and clean any doo cat every day for 4 or 5 days. Each time you use a lemon in your cooking, finely chop the zest and sprinkle over the area you want to keep cats away. I have had some success with this method but I have not tried in a sand trap. Good Luck.

Fences will not keep cats.

If they are cats neighbors, go to the store for pets and buy a lot of catnip, take a walk and quietly dump catnip near the owner's property.

If they are stray or you do not own, call animal control.

There are commercial animal repellent, they can be purchased at pet supply company. Most are aerosol type that must be reapplied every 24 hours.

Fill a jar filled with clear water it took nearly an entry (or the area you want the cats to stay away from) and it will keep cats away im not sure how it works but it keeps cats of my front yard =>

EDIT: not quite the full path may be only half =)

Is this your cat or cats in the neighborhood?

If they are your cats, keep cats indoors.

If they are cats in the neighborhood, you might consider fencing your garden.
