LED Troubleshooting I've just been introduced into the world of LED lighting. Over the past two weeks, I received a crossfire undisclosed (but popular) merchant Hong Kong .
These fires budget supposedly valuable, but both were "nervous". The first (Romisen RC-F4) had a problem with the switch being unreliable. The second (MTE "P7-D, 5-way) had a flicker problem. I'm sure others have problems with the lights of the budget, so I made this quick troubleshooting guide. Please not comment as I am a noob regarding LED flashlights (except for a Luxeon I bikelight I designed and built for an engineering project at the University some years ago).
OK! Go Here!

my lights
These are the lights I'll use it today (I also have a pig DX-light, but I've never had any problems with it, if these are maintenance Recon, ha ha), Romisen RC-F4 and the MTE "P7-D" (5-mode).
Sun OUTPUT
1) Check the batteries!
If production is low, but it is not about flash, the battery is a likely culprit. Some circuit voltage regulator can also flash when the voltage drops, but this is rare. Remember: If your lamp uses more battery, you must be extremely careful not to mix-and-match batteries of different capacity or voltage. If you think that one of the batteries are flat (even the brand of others are dead) and remove them checked. This applies to all lithium-ion primary and rechargeable batteries. Consider buying protected cells.
2) Check the light

Visually inspect the LEDs to see if it shows any sign of being "burned" (discoloration, brown spots). This should be visible through the lens.
3) Check the soldering points and contact points

Visually inspect the spot weld by removing the head. If this is not possible to remove the front panel and remove the glass and mirror if possible. Some managers are stuck (like MTE "P7-D"), but it may be possible to access the LED / pill removing the bezel / lens / reflector. Be very carful not to touch the reflector. He is polite and aluminum is soft. If you do not know what you are doing the cleaning, it is likely to ruin! Wipe the lens when you go. If everything looks good, continue troubleshooting steps regarding issues flickering switch /.
OSCILLATING / SWITCH ISSUES
1) Clean the inner workings of the light
Use compressed air and blow or tap "to make sure no metal shavings and debris from the manufacture of metal parts is trapped inside the tube.
2) Check the contact between the body and tailcap / switch-assembly

Remove the rear cap and using a paper clip or otherwise suitable piece of metal and make contact between negative battery and the body. Make sure you make contact on a body part that is not anodized. If it stops flashing, it may indicate a "bad" bad switch or contact between the pellet.
