Scotland is famous for its lovely scenery, welcoming local people, outdoor sports and excellent food, making it a popular destination for many tourists. When you choose to visit Scotland there are many different towns and villages each offering a different experience of what Scotland has to offer, Edinburgh Castle and museums not to mention his years Fringe Festival, Glasgow's shops and cosmopolitan nightlife, St Andrews golf course has its world famous university, the Highlands Inverness and Aviemore have both in the middle of breathtaking scenery of the Cairngorms and surrounding mountains and Finally, the West Coast with its beautiful coastline with spectacular views and the possibility of extreme water sports.

So, choosing a destination can be difficult Scottish, and part of enjoying your visit is an experience you have at your hotel or B & B. The ingredients needed for a hotel to provide a truly Scottish are progressive, and I listed some, in my opinion, make a visit to Scotland unique.

Good nutrition is an important part of any hotel, but visit Scotland and expect a different level of good food. Scotland is famous for fresh salmon in many rivers and haggis made on our Highland hills. Hotels proudly serve traditional dishes such as "haggis, neeps and tatties, stove, and a birdie Scottish if you have chosen your Scottish hotel and you'll also be able to indulge in fantasies of other Scots such as Aberdeen Rowies , IRN Bru, shortbread and tablet. If you feel very bad, you can spin to a local shredder and enjoy one of Scotland's famous battered Mars Bars ... certainly a sweet tooth. All washed down with a whiskey toddy.

Scottish people are renowned for their happy disposition and hotels are no different, a good atmosphere is a priority when it comes to hotels in Scotland. What is involved in creating a good atmosphere? A few locals strut bar with Tennents and the best whiskeys, live music and friendly hotel ready to bend over backwards to make sure that your visit goes smoothly. For the ultimate atmosphere to go to a Scottish ceilidh, a traditional gathering of Scottish folk music, bagpipes, violins and accordions, and lots of dance, dance the most famous being the Gay Gordon. Ceilidh are not common in everyday life in Scotland, but are often held on special occasions, including weddings, Robert Burns Day, New Year and so on. A friendly family is naturally a part of having a good atmosphere, and all good Scottish hotel will host the little tykes and provide activities for children.

Interiors are essential for any Scottish hotel, be it a cheap hotel in Dunoon or a luxury boutique in Edinburgh. Tartan carpets, bundles of thistle and wood fires are all precious things in a traditional Scottish hotel, but even the most modern hotels, while preserving our Scottish charm with retro detailing mixed with contemporary Scottish artwork that all so distinct from any other country that they could not be found elsewhere.

Everyone jokes about the Scottish being tight fists, but it also means that we have affordable hotel s; hotels in the downtown will be expensive, but head for the country and find the best hotel value for money.
