Considered one of the most powerful breeds, the Bullmastiff is the result of crossbreeding with English Mastiff Old English Bulldogs, and was raised to frustrate the efforts of different and immobilize poachers. The average lifespan of the breed is 10 years and there is a tendency to elbow, eyes, and questions of the hip.
