Police Car Sound

They move quickly, they have flashing lights on the roof, and they have sirens that can be heard very far. But surely this is not anything special about police cars?

There is no standard model for these very vital and increasingly sophisticated vehicles, and no manufacturer can ever claim to have developed a model police car from scratch. They are always put back to standard models, usually change to the specification of the particular power that commands.

Firstly, apart from their need to move very quickly, many police forces require a full-size spare tire is standard issue on their vehicles. Most patterns have little or no full-size spare, preferring to offer their customers more storage space and a spare battery much less temporary. This means that many models are already ruled out at this early stage.

Then the huge problem of "fitting up", ie the conversion of standard vehicle to enable it to comply with operational requirements. The increasing complexity of computer systems police dash, satellite radio, and even the siren should be a principle of ergonomic design allows a maximum allocation of space and functionality, not to mention hosting the sheer weight of all that technology. Many models now come with police transmission steering column, which means a radical reconstruction of a floor model transmission standard, and in some countries, there is the need to consider a rack, too.

Although it is clear that we can not do without the police cars at high speed, we can only hope that for the sake of the environment, the battery-powered vehicles that are likely to be driven at speeds high over long periods are not too far in the future.

After all, any vehicle standard gasoline engine moving at 80 + mph is not exactly environmentally

VOC = Volatile Organic Compounds VOC emission rates by speed

Of course, we could ban the police cars at high speed, but without all the drunken gun toting one taken in the bar room brawls be better? It's anarchy on the environment? No, but maybe we could focus on real manufacturers to produce fuel-efficient vehicles. At least this way, speeding and police chase that will do less damage to the air we all share.

The future of transport on earth will undoubtedly green. It really is time that major automakers are beginning to realize that the continued prosperity of their businesses will not be in the production of larger vehicles stupidly dependent on fossil fuels, but ethical and environmentally sound vehicles which are not harmful to Earth.

This may seem like wild-eyed dream, but the facts are that alternative fuel vehicles continue to see growing sales trends, and what was once impersonated a fashion, is seeing wide acceptance among suburban consumers concerned about the environment in which they pass on to us their children.
