Raleigh Tomahawk What is the best rear derailleur for a Raleigh Tomahawk? I was a bike on a bumpy, grassy field, and my rear derailleur got caught in my spokes. My derailleur is a Shimano Tourney RD-TX30, and I read some reviews about it, and I discovered that I was not the only one who got a derailleur made that mark on their shelves. Any suggestions for a new rear derailleur for a Raleigh Tomahawk? It is not always the fault of the derailleur, if something goes wrong. Sometimes the cheap bikes, it is an assembly and adjustment issue. If yours is an old bike, the derailleur is not enough out of adjustment, if the limit screws are not set correctly, even the most expensive derailleur can self-destruct, so even if your model is a bit expensive he probably needs adjustment. If you feel better buying a more expensive model, go ahead, but when you install it make sure it is properly adjusted. The best option is to replace the broken with the same model. I would like to replace it with a Alivio RD-410 it held the best adaptation. Posted on May 20, 2010.
