Best transmitter submarine torpedoes RC this kind of thing I want to build.? Ok I have this 4''OD x 50 "pipe that I'm building a submarine torpedo-shaped thing on in. There will be pumps, cameras, lights, servos, and batteries, circuit house every other good things. But what is the best way to control what I thought a RC transmitter, but could be a kind of hard and I do not know how good it would work underwater, but I was also thinking to do with issuers Parallax and house remote control panel software can be a thing, even if I am adventures. Or is it better to do it all with a fastener.
Any questions for me please do not hesitate to contact me justin-hulbert@hotmail.com I am looking for any help I can do and if you have built something like id love to see pictures or CAD drawings you may have.
Best RF transmitter is an RF transmitter at all. A water most RF or attenuates or absorbs radio waves at such a degree that the transmission frequencies most useful is almost impossible.
You can use eVLF som, or very low frequency RF to transmit data. The best would be to use a modulated ultrasonic sound or to send and receive data and signals contr0l. Basically sonar. Something in the range 50 to 100KHz should work.
You'll need to find sonar transducers or surplus, or perhaps get their hands on a fish finder sonar old or Ebay or another source. You can probably modify it to send and receive data other than for fish or depth of the seabed
Believe it or not, it would be a relatively easy process to say, sonar waves modulate a signal from an IR remote control, and detect it at the other end like a sound wave that modulates an LED and the couples transmitting data to one of these $ 3.49 IR detector / demodulator that Radio Shack sells. couple for a microcontroller on board as a microcontroller, and you may have a strange, but quite possible underwater remote control!
Sounds like an interesting project. Feel free to contact me and I might be able to provide more help. I started some projects submarines myself, including a submarine "GPS" system for divers ... can help with the stuff too microcontroller.
Also, remember to bring a dead system reconning bring the thing back to the surface.
Oh yeah, the attachment approach woul be much easier, but what fun would that be?
You will need a breath, RF does not work well underwater.
I guess you want to see what the cameras are in real time? you need bidirectional communication and a relatively high bandwidth, while very low frequency radio can work under water to some extent, it is not at all suited to real-time video .
I agree, the radio does not work underwater.
either a cable or antenna which floats on the surface (which is how real submarines)
