Newest Blogroll | MarketplaceSwing Set Installation Swing-assembly or installation sod? I currently have all the dirt in my yard and plan to have installed the entire back with peat. I also want to get a swing-set for my children. What do I have installed the first? as a landscaper, I can say please do sod to give him a season and then get the swing, I say this because it will be in the pain of $ $ around a lawn swing ( I know I did) and you 'll have to wait a season for the grass to fix other wise it will be money down the toilet because of the traffic of children on a swing on the new lawn will kill him I would put in the porch first, because the area under the lawn swing will be shortly after the turf of the entire court, because the feet of your children will abrade the grass below, to extinction. I would put sand in the area where their feet touch the ground. Hard-scape always first ... grass, unless you want to swing, concreted into the ground I would not worry about the sodding the area around the swing, because over time the grass will be brought to earth by their slippage into it when they swing. I would suggest not peat where the swing will be. Swings should be at least 8 feet in front and behind, where the fluctuations will, which is filled with mulch games. Either finely shredded wood or rubber, to minimize injuries from falls. Posted on May 19, 2010.
